Is Mark Sigorta an insurance company?
No. Mark Sigorta is not an insurance company; it is an insurance agency. The party that provides the insurance coverage and issues the policy is the relevant insurance company. Mark Sigorta carries out insurance agency services such as receiving applications, managing quote or policy processes, collecting premiums, delivering policies and informing users for insurance products of the companies it is authorized to represent.
Which insurance companies does Mark Sigorta work with?
Mark Sigorta is authorized as an agency for Gulf Sigorta A.Ş. and Quick Sigorta A.Ş. Products, lines of insurance, pricing, policy issuance rules, coverage and risk acceptance conditions may vary according to the practices of the relevant insurance companies.
What is an agency registration number?
The agency registration number is an identifying number used in registration and authorization records for insurance agencies. Mark Sigorta’s agency registration number is T220706-6UJ6. Our company information and registration number are shared clearly in the corporate information section.
Which insurance products can I apply for through Mark Sigorta?
Through our website, you may apply for travel health insurance, health insurance for foreign nationals travelling to Türkiye, insurance products connected with visa, entry or residence procedures, and other insurance products offered by insurance companies for which we are authorized.
Is policy issuance through Mark Sigorta always guaranteed?
No. Submitting an application or proceeding to the payment step does not mean that a policy will be issued in every case. Policy issuance depends on the accuracy of the application information, product conditions, the insurance company’s technical infrastructure, risk acceptance rules, payment status and the assessment of the relevant insurance company.
Application and Policy Process
How do I apply for insurance?
The application process usually starts by selecting the insurance type, the country of the travel document, the travel date and the policy period and entering personal details. The other information required for the product is then shared, suitable product and premium information may be displayed, the payment step is completed, and the policy is issued through the relevant insurance company’s system or agency infrastructure.
Why is the information I provide during the application important?
The insurance policy is issued based on the information you provide during the application. Information such as name, surname, date of birth, nationality, passport or identity details, travel document type, travel dates, policy period, e-mail address and phone number must be accurate, complete and up to date. Incorrect or missing information may negatively affect the use of the policy, official procedures or the claims process.
When will my policy be issued?
The policy is issued if the application information is completed, payment is successfully made, the relevant insurance company system can process the transaction and the policy issuance conditions are met. Technical issues, payment problems, missing information, delays in the insurance company system or the need for additional checks may extend the process.
Does my insurance coverage start as soon as I pay?
Completion of the payment alone may not mean that the insurance coverage has started. For the coverage to begin, the policy must be issued, a valid record must be created in the insurance company’s system, and the start date stated in the policy must have arrived. After receiving your policy, you should always check the start and end dates.
How should I choose the policy period?
The policy period should be compatible with your travel or stay plan. For policies to be used for travel to Türkiye, visa, entry or residence purposes, it is important that the policy start and end dates match your application purpose and period of stay. Selecting an incomplete or incorrect period may create problems in official procedures or in the use of the policy.
Where should I write my middle name?
If your middle name appears in your passport or identity document, it should be written in the given names field together with your first name, with a space between the names. The name and surname on the policy should match the information in your travel document.
Can I apply for insurance on behalf of another person?
If you apply on behalf of another person, you are deemed to accept that you are authorized to apply for that person, share the necessary information and documents, make payment and manage the process. The insured person, policyholder and applicant may be the same person or different persons.
Can an insurance application be made for children?
Yes. An insurance application may be made on behalf of a child. In this case, it is assumed that the application is made by a parent, guardian or a person authorized to apply. The child’s identity, passport, date of birth and travel information must be entered correctly.
What should I check after receiving my policy?
After receiving your policy, you should carefully check your name, surname, date of birth, passport or identity details, nationality, travel document type, policy start and end dates, coverage limits, geographical scope, exclusions and special conditions. If you notice an error, you should contact Mark Sigorta without delay.
How long before my trip should I apply for insurance?
We recommend applying for insurance as early as possible before your trip. Policy issuance, payment processing, technical checks, e-mail delivery and possible corrections may take time. Applications submitted very close to the travel date may carry a higher risk of delay or correction needs.
Health Insurance for Foreigners Travelling to Türkiye
Why is health insurance important for foreigners travelling to Türkiye?
For foreigners travelling to Türkiye or planning to stay in Türkiye for a certain period, health insurance is often an important part of the travel plan. The policy period, insured person’s details, passport or travel document details, coverage start and end dates, geographical validity and scope of coverage may be important for visa, entry, residence or other official procedures.
What does Article 15/1-e of Law No. 6458 mean for health insurance?
Under Article 15/1-e of Law No. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection, visa applications of foreigners who do not have valid health insurance covering the period of their stay may be assessed negatively. Therefore, for policies to be used for entry to Türkiye, visa or residence purposes, the insurance period, personal information and document details must be accurate.
Does obtaining health insurance guarantee my entry to Türkiye?
No. Issuance of an insurance policy does not mean that entry to Türkiye, a visa, residence or any official procedure will be accepted with certainty. Entry to Türkiye, visa, stay, residence or border procedures are subject to the assessment of the relevant official authorities.
Is acceptance of my policy by official authorities guaranteed?
No. Mark Sigorta does not guarantee that any official authority will definitely accept the policy. Whether the policy will be accepted by the relevant authority depends on the policy type, policy scope, document information, application type and the assessment of the relevant authority.
Are travel health insurance and foreigner health insurance the same?
Not always. Travel health insurance, foreigner health insurance and insurance products used for visa or residence purposes may have different scopes, periods, coverages and purposes. The suitable product may vary according to the purpose of travel, period of stay, application type, age, nationality, travel document and the assessment of the relevant authority.
Which details in the policy must match my passport?
Your name, surname, date of birth, nationality, passport number, travel document type and related document details should match the information in your passport or identity document. If the details in the policy differ from the document used during travel, the policy may not be accepted by official authorities or may be considered invalid by the insurance company.
Should my policy cover my entire stay in Türkiye?
For policies to be used for entry to Türkiye, visa or residence purposes, it is important that the policy period is compatible with the stay or application period. Policies with an insufficient period may cause problems during official procedures. The required policy period may vary according to the application type and the assessment of the relevant authorities.
Payment, Premium and Security
Are credit card payments made through Insurance.com.tr secure?
Payment transactions are carried out through payment service providers, banks or virtual POS infrastructures. Card details should be processed through secure payment infrastructures. Mark Sigorta does not store full card numbers in its own systems; it may process limited transaction information shared by the payment provider for payment security, accounting, invoicing, refund and dispute management purposes.
I do not have a credit or debit card. Can I pay for insurance another way?
In the online application flow, the payment method is determined according to the options shown on the website and payment screen. In general, payment can be made by credit or debit card. Whether an alternative payment method is available may vary according to the relevant application flow and payment infrastructure.
Does the card have to belong to the applicant?
The card may not necessarily have to belong to the applicant. However, cardholder information, bank security verification, 3D Secure verification or additional checks by the payment provider may be required. In cases of unauthorized card use, fraudulent transactions or payment disputes, the transaction may be suspended or legal action may be initiated.
What may the amount shown on the payment screen include?
The total amount may include the insurance premium, additional coverage fees if any, payment infrastructure costs, bank or card transaction fees, virtual POS costs and other payment items that may apply under current legislation. You should check the total amount and payment items before confirming payment.
Will a policy be issued if payment is not successful?
Unless payment is successfully completed, a policy may not be issued or coverage may not begin. In cases of delay, failed transaction, duplicate payment or technical issues caused by the payment infrastructure, the transaction records are reviewed and the necessary correction is made.
What should I do if I made a duplicate payment?
If you think you have made a duplicate payment, you should contact Mark Sigorta with your payment details. Transaction records, payment provider records and application status are reviewed and the appropriate refund or correction process is carried out.
What does CVV / CVC / CVC2 mean?
CVV, CVC or CVC2 is the card security code used for verification in card payments. For Visa and MasterCard, it is usually the last three digits printed in the signature panel on the back of the card.
I want the address on my payment receipt to be different. Is this possible?
Receipt or invoice information may be created according to the information shared during application and payment. If you need a different address or invoice information, you should check the relevant details before payment and contact Mark Sigorta if necessary. Changes after the policy or payment transaction is completed may vary according to the transaction status and legislation.
Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund
Can I get a refund if I do not use my insurance?
Simply not using the policy does not automatically create a right to a refund. Refund requests are assessed according to whether the policy has been issued, whether coverage has started, whether the policy period has begun to run, whether a claim has been reported, the insurance company’s cancellation/refund rules, special policy conditions, general insurance conditions and applicable legislation.
Can I get a refund if the policy has not yet been issued?
If the policy has not yet been issued and the premium has not been transferred to the insurance company or the relevant collection process, a refund may be made upon a cancellation request. However, each request is assessed by considering transaction records, payment records, application stage and the scope of service.
Is cancellation or refund possible after the policy has been issued?
After the policy is issued, cancellation and refund requests are assessed according to the insurance company’s cancellation/refund rules, policy start and end dates, whether coverage has been used and applicable legislation. If the policy period has started, the policy has remained in force, coverage has been used or a claim has been reported, all or part of the premium may not be refunded.
Can I get a refund if there is an error in my policy?
For policies issued due to incorrect, missing, faulty or policy-incompatible information provided by the applicant, a refund may not be made or may be subject to the insurance company’s assessment. If you think there is an error in your policy, you should contact Mark Sigorta without delay.
What should I do if the information in my policy does not match my travel document?
If the information in your policy does not match your travel document, the use of the policy in official procedures or in the claims process may be negatively affected. You should contact Mark Sigorta as soon as you notice the error. The possibility of correction, endorsement, cancellation or re-issuance depends on the insurance company’s rules, the policy status and applicable legislation.
Is the right of withdrawal the same for every insurance product?
No. Whether there is a right of withdrawal, how it can be used and its duration may vary according to the type of insurance product, whether the policy has entered into force, whether coverage has been used, distance sales legislation, policy terms and the insurance company’s practices. Mandatory rights arising from applicable legislation are reserved.
How can I request cancellation or refund?
To request cancellation, withdrawal or refund, you need to contact Mark Sigorta. Your request is assessed by considering transaction records, payment records, policy status, insurance company rules, application stage and the scope of service provided.
What happens if I start a payment dispute or chargeback?
If a payment dispute, reversal or chargeback is initiated, Mark Sigorta may provide the relevant bank, payment institution or card organization with transaction records, policy records, service records, invoice information, communication records, IP records and other lawful records. Our legal rights are reserved in disputes made for abusive purposes despite the service being provided or the policy being issued.
Policy Delivery, Tracking and Correction
How will my policy be delivered to me?
The issued policy may be sent to the e-mail address you provided during the application, an SMS link, the application tracking page or other electronic delivery channels offered on the website. The delivery method may vary according to the application flow and technical infrastructure.
My policy did not arrive by e-mail. What should I do?
First, you should check your e-mail address, spam or junk folder, and application tracking screen. If you entered the e-mail address incorrectly or cannot access the policy, you should contact Mark Sigorta without delay.
What happens if I entered my phone number or e-mail address incorrectly?
Incorrect e-mail or phone details may cause delays due to e-mails going to spam filters, SMS messages not being delivered or notifications not being followed. If you notice an error in your contact details, you should contact Mark Sigorta as soon as possible.
Can I change the information in my policy later?
Changes after policy issuance, endorsements, cancellation or correction procedures are subject to the insurance company’s rules and applicable legislation. Not every information change can be made automatically. If there is an error or a need for change, you should contact Mark Sigorta without delay.
How can I track my application and policy status?
You can track your application and policy status through the tracking screen provided on the website, e-mail notifications, SMS link or other electronic channels. We recommend checking notifications regularly.
Should I keep my policy after receiving it?
Yes. It is important to keep your policy electronically and to be able to present it in printed or digital form when needed. The policy document may be required during travel, visa, entry, residence or claims processes.
Claims, Assistance and Coverage
What should I do if I need claim support or medical assistance?
If you need claim support, medical assistance or assistance services, you should use the insurance company, assistance service or call center channels stated in your policy. Mark Sigorta may provide general guidance and communication support; however, acceptance of the claim file, requests for missing documents, compensation calculation, payment decision or rejection decision are made by the insurance company.
Does Mark Sigorta pay claim compensation?

Which documents may be requested during the claims process?

These documents must be submitted on time and accurately.
Is there a time limit for claim notification?
Claim notification must be made within the periods and methods stated in the relevant policy. Late notification, missing documents, incorrect information, misleading statements or failure to submit documents requested by the insurance company may negatively affect the claims process.
Can I receive free services from hospitals in Türkiye?
This depends on the policy type, coverage scope, the insurance company’s contracted institutions, the assistance process, claim conditions and whether the event is covered by the policy. Not every hospital service or treatment is automatically covered. Before treatment or the claims process, you should check the policy terms and the guidance of the insurance company/assistance service.
Where are the policy coverages and exclusions stated?
Coverage, coverage limits, geographical scope, exclusions, waiting periods, special policy conditions, general insurance conditions, clauses and procedures to be followed in case of a claim are stated in the policy document issued by the relevant insurance company and in the documents attached to the policy. The explanations on the website are for general information only.
What are exclusions from coverage?
Exclusions may vary from policy to policy. Pre-existing conditions, waiting periods, age limits, travel period limits, geographical limits, special exclusions, economic sanctions or the insurance company’s risk acceptance rules may affect coverage. You should review the special policy conditions and general insurance conditions before purchasing a policy.
